Francesco Cascio

I’m a qualified Engineer in Electronics with over 20 years experience in Embedded Systems development for consumer and automotive segments working for multinational companies in Italy, France and UK. I’m keen to explore new solutions, take on new challenges and tackle difficult problems both in my personal and professional life.

At the beginning of my career I worked in image processing, working both on the SW driver for AF system (VCM, piezo MSM and liquid lenses) and then on AF algorithm development that resulted in two patents.
Later I moved to AI, focusing on quantization of neural networks (NN) which lead to improvements in the NN compilation strategy and the tooling development.
More recently I moved to Functional Safety for automotive application (initially working on a NN accelerator project and then on several GPU projects for graphics and compute use cases) leading the release of both neural network accelerator and GPU IPs safety cases.

I enjoy working in distributed multicultural teams, fostering collaboration and problem solving to achieve projects success.
